The 56-metre-tall Charminar, built in the late 16th century, and its surrounding bazars are one of the busiest economic zones the city and serves as a food provider for thousands of people who work and sells their wares there. Over the past two decades, a temple was built adjoining the Charminar structure, with the tacit knowledge of authorities. While this construction stood uncontested for years, the recent form of aggressive assertion has led to a disruption of peace and has evoked diverse opinions from different quarters.
